Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile Confirms Monaco Circuit for Formula E

With its inaugural season beginning September 2014, Monte Carlo is announced as one of only three European venues to host the new Formula E. Despite receiving requests from more than 25 cities worldwide, only ten dates are set for its first world tour, with Monaco joining Beijing, Putrajaya, Hong Kong, Punta del Este, Buenos Aires, Los Angeles, Miami, Berlin and London.

CEO of Formula E Holdings Alejandro Agag says the interest in the Championship is a demonstration of “the commitment cities have shown to clean mobility and sustainability”.

Monaco’s new involvement in Formula E gives motor sport enthusiasts yet another reason to look at property in Monaco, adding more exciting dates to its already full international events calendar. Monaco is renowned for hosting yachting and sport; the Monte-Carlo Tennis Rolex Masters, the Grand Prix Formula 1 and the Monaco Yacht Show being the most well known.

Investing in Monaco property for sale would give any savvy luxury traveller the perfect base for all of these, as well as lesser known cultural events such as the International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo, the Sporting Summer Festival, Television Festival and the International Fireworks Competition. As any lover of the French Riviera will know, a short hop to Cannes will see you immersed in the Film Festival.

The FIA say they are ‘honoured that Prince Albert has agreed to let Formula E race through the same streets [as formula 1]’. It is obvious that Monaco is not only one of the most beautiful places in Europe, but one of the most socially important. With an average of 320 days sunshine a year but only a couple of hours from the Alps in winter it has instant appeal. Now they are filling 2014/2015 with more and more essential dates, property for sale in Monte Carlo continues to climb the ladder as some of the most sought-after real estate in the world.

Property for sale in Monte Carlo is a real consideration for any motor sport lover with luxury tastes. Setting off around the perfect urban arena for an electric car in May 2015, Formula E will be a diverse addition to the Formula 1, 18th Rally de Monaco, Grand Prix Historique and Monaco Automobile Elegance Competition. With the street circuit taking a route around the compact principality there is no better place to view such events than from the exclusive privacy of your own balcony.
